Dandelooo forays into YA segment with two new series ‘Apocalypse Mojito’ and ‘Armageddon Pizza’

Emmy Award-winning French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo is expanding into teen and young adult animation with the launch of a dedicated new division, kicking off with two original comedy series Apocalypse Mojito and Armageddon Pizza.

The move marks an exciting new chapter for Dandelooo as it builds on its strong track record in pre-school and children’s content and opens its doors to projects aimed at a new generation of audiences. The new division will focus on and seek out distinctive, creator-led projects with fresh comedy and strong storylines.

“Following the success of Lastman (Everybody on Deck), my colleagues Jean-Baptiste Wéry, Gennarino Romano and I have been looking for the next great 12+ animated series. We are thrilled to kick off this new department with two absurd comedies that tackle eco-anxiety in a fun way and are delighted to be working with the very talented studios JSBC and Passion Paris”, commented Dandelooo partner & producer Emmanuèle Pétry.

Apocalypse Mojito is produced by French animation studio Passion Paris, part of Academy Award-winning production company Passion Pictures and directed by Julien Seze. The series is now complete and ready for delivery. The raucous, irreverent and witty 2D animated comedy of 10 x 7-minute episodes takes a satirical look at the future, holding up a mirror to the world we live in today.

Apocalypse Mojito – “Chillax dudes! It’s the end of the world!” This could be the motto of Yolo and Wazo, two friends travel from village to city with their mobile guinguette, a typically French open-air café and dance floor, bringing fun and good humour wherever they go. It’s 2100. Civilisation has collapsed climate change has wreaked havoc and technology has taken some very unexpected turns. Yet somehow, humanity still hasn’t learned its lesson. Apocalypse Mojito uses its dystopian future to poke fun at the absurdity of human behaviour. Wherever Yolo and Wazo go, they come across another spectacular example of “human intelligence”, as people continue to find new ways to make a mess of what’s left of the planet.

Also currently in production, Armageddon Pizza (26 x 13’), is produced by French animation studio Je Suis Bien Content and directed by Aurélien Bouillon and Fabien Limousin.

Armageddon Pizza In an entirely fictional yet strangely familiar world, humanity faces an unprecedented health crisis: the dead are coming back to life… and they’re hungry! But they’re not the only ones craving something: confined to their homes among the ruins of their cities, the surviving population longs for comfort food and entertainment. Luckily, in Paris, under the management of Didier, Barbara, Quentin and Paul, three brave minimum-wage delivery drivers burst out of the Armageddon Pizza garage on their DIY scooters! Their mission? To deliver on time and against all odds, an exceptional pizza across a zombie-infested Paris.

With the launch of its teen and young adult division Dandelooo is expanding its portfolio to include bold, original comedy and distinctive storytelling aimed at older audiences. The division will champion fresh creative voices and projects, combining Dandelooo’s production and distribution expertise with stories designed to connect with today’s teens and young adults.

Dandelooo will present Apocalypse Mojito and Armageddon Pizza to international buyers at Mipcom 2026.
