Reel FX Animation Studios announces that the Oscar-nominated director Chris Miller will be helming an upcoming original animated feature which is currently named as Untitled Wish Project. Miller has been a DreamWorks Animation filmmaker and has directed the hit films like Puss n’ Boots which was also nominated for Oscar for the Best Animated Feature Film and Shrek the Third—both the films were box office hits. The storyline hasn’t yet been disclosed, but it is rumoured that the film will have both the real world and the world of mythical creatures where human wishes are heard and made come true.
“Chris is an incredibly creative and talented filmmaker and we feel honoured to be working with him,” said Jared Mass, who heads up Reel FX’s Originals Unit. “He brings a vision to the film that is sure to resonate with audiences all over the world.” Just months ago, Mass was rehired by Reel FX Animation Studios to head the Originals Unit.
The news has come out as Reel FX is in production on its next original film with Paramount Animation and Malden Media named as Monster on the Hill which is an adaptation of the kids’ graphic novel. It is set to be released in 2020. Over the years, Reel FX Animation Studios has produced animation for every major studio as well as original content.
