Cartoon Network is renewing its original series Craig of the Creek for a second season. The show highlights the magic of backyard adventures, the power of imagination and the various interests that can bind a group of friends.
Co-created by Steven Universe writers Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, the show is executive produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Craig of the Creek follows Craig as he leads his best friends JP and Kelsey on comical journeys at their neighbourhood creek, transforming everyday afternoons into thrilling expeditions through imaginative play.
Craig of the Creek was developed through the studio’s global Artists Program known for creating a pipeline of critically acclaimed, Emmy-winning shows and serving as a talent incubator for gifted animators.
Since its debut earlier this year, the show has been celebrated for the trio’s creative and imaginative escapades and spurred a groundswell of excitement from critics, fans across social media, and beyond.
The new episodes from the current season will premiere on weekdays from 20 August. The new adventures of Craig will air in 2019.
