Alice and Mad Hatter are back and this time Alice will have to save her dear friend Hatter from the evil clutches of Time. Yes, we are talking about the sequel to the 2010’s visually captivating movie, Alice in Wonderland. This sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass is directed by James Robin and produced by Tim Burton, the director for the previous film.
After building curiosity for their fans by releasing teasers this week, Disney has finally released the trailer of Alice Through Looking Glass. The movie is loosely based on Lewis Carroll’s novel, Alice Through the Looking Glass where Mia Wasikowska will be once again seen as the protagonist. With ticking clocks sound in the background, we can see Alice sporting clothes that seems inspired by Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) as she enters the mystical realm of Wonderland through the mirror.
An ominous voice is heard saying, “You have been gone too long. Friends can’t be neglected… Hurry.”
And with that, the quirky characters from the past movie come into picture like Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Joining them would be a new villainous character of whom Alice is warned about and that’s Time himself, a half-clock, half-human character that’s been played by Sacha Baron Cohen.
Only Alice can save Mad Hatter from the evil Time, if she manages to turn back the hands of time! The film is set to release on 27 May, 2016 and is set to appease its fans with some insane visuals.
