Bluey is set to make a festive return to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, joining the landmark 100th edition with a brand-new Christmas-themed balloon.
Announced by BBC Studios and Macy’s, the balloon features the beloved blue heeler wearing the Christmas crown from the fan-favourite episode Christmas Swim. Inspired by an Aussie Christmas BBQ, the design also features Bluey’s family, Christmas crackers and festive crowns. Designed by Ludo Studio and produced by Macy’s Parade Studio, the balloon measures 47 feet long, 27.8 feet wide and 47.2 feet tall.
Melanie Zanetti and Dave McCormack, the voices of Chilli and Bandit, will also be in New York to experience the parade.
Bluey first appeared in the Macy’s Parade in 2022, followed by her iconic red Keepy Uppy balloon from 2023 to 2025. In 2024, Bluey’s Grannies, Rita and Gladys, joined the parade aboard their Grannies Car.
The new balloon comes as Bluey continues its strong streaming run. Nielsen ranked the series as the most-streamed title in the US for the first half of 2026, following two consecutive years at the top.
The 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on 26 November on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo from 8:30 a.m. across all time zones. The Bluey Movie is also set to arrive in cinemas on 6 August 2027.
