Following its predecessor, Mass Effect 3, BioWare is all set to release the upcoming version of the game in the spring of next year. Fans of Mass Effect would surely know about N7 day, a day coined by BioWare itself to commemorate the Mass Effect’s five year anniversary and on this day the company revealed the latest trailer of the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda.
The setup for the game on the official site reads:
“Take the role of the Pathfinder, leading humanity’s search for a new home in this unexplored and unforgiving region of space. You’ll chart your own course, navigating the Andromeda galaxy to unravel its mysteries, discover vivid alien worlds, and lead the charge to find the human race a new home among the stars. You’ll be able to upgrade and customise your gameplay experience with a deep and flexible progression system, and lead your squad into action-packed combat using advanced weaponry, special abilities, and more than a few new tricks.”
This would be the first time we get a look on the male protagonist, Ryder. The trailer has Ryder’s father narrating the initial lines, “We slept for hundreds of years, dreaming of a new home. But when we finally awoke, our dreams of peace were shattered.” A possible villain has also been featured, while not much about the game can be perceived apart from the main plot.
However, it would be safe to say that the game would be an epic galactic spectacle, where the pathfinder must prove himself to be the hero of humanity.
The company has also said that we would be getting a much clearer look on the game at The Game Awards on 1 December this year. The deluxe edition of the game would cost $69.99 and the super deluxe edition will come for $99.99.
