Superhero movies are always loved by the enthusiasts and given the recent releases, they work out pretty well, even revenue-wise for the makers. Warner Bros. has a few superhero movies lined up from the DC universe in the coming years.
Currently Justice League is under production and once it’s done, one of the superheroes would get busy for his very own film. The Flash, where the protagonist role of the superfast meta-human would be played by Ezra Miller is slated for an early 2018 release.
Now, as Variety reports, Billy Crudup is in talks of playing Flash’s father, Henry Allen in the movie, however it has not been confirmed by the officials. Curdup has previously worked with Warner Bros as Doctor Manhattan/Jon Osterman in Zack Snyder’s ‘Watchmen’.
The plot of the film is still unclear, but it would be interesting to see how it plays out. It has been a rumour that The Rouges will be the crew of villains in this superhero flick. Kiersey Clemons has also joined in as Iris West.
Miller has already played a cameo in ‘Batman v Superman’ and will be seen in action in the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie, which hits the screens next year. However, the details of ‘The Flash’ movie are being kept under wraps.
Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the script based on a treatment by Chris Miller and Phil Lord and the movie will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa.
Previously, Crudup has worked in titles like Spotlight (Oscar Winner), The Stanford Prison Experiment, 20th Century Women.
Justice League is slated to release on 16 November, 2017.
