Bethesda’s E3 2015 lineup will bring tears of joy

Bethesda’s first ever E3 conference kicked off with much fanfare and some great news for the gaming industry. The company behind titles like Skyrim, Doom, Dishonored, Fallout and what not has grown to become a big name when it comes to big budget AAA titles.

Here is a look at what it has lined-up for the roadmap ahead

Doom

The fourth edition of the game titled just ‘Doom’ has brought back the fast paced old school shooter elements back to franchise’s fold.  Bethesda revealed a short gameplay video of the single player campaign and one of the locales that is called ‘Gateway to Hell’.

The game has guns, guns and more guns written all over it with weapons like double-barrel shotgun, chainsaws and some melee weapons. Hordes of monsters and demons to kill and satisfy those bloody weapons.

There’s also Snapcam, a level editor where one could create custom maps and share them for the single as well as multiplayer challenges.

There is no release date for the game as yet but only the window during which we can expect the game on the shelves is in the Spring of 2016. The title will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Dishonored 2

Next in line was the sequel to the first person stealth game Dishonored. Developed by Arkane studios, Dishonored 2 reveal has a cinematic trailer which shows female protagonist – Emily Kaldwin.  Also, last game’s hero Corvo too gets a playable character for this one.

The game is much better looking and the graphics are pretty sleek with the game retaining the pastel art style from the first. The trailer gives you glimpses of the weapons and the storyline with sketchy details.

The first part gets HD remaster – Dishonored Definitive Edition with all its downloadable content for the PS4 and Xbox One out later this year.

Something for the small screens

Bethesda too has jumped onto the mobile game development bandwagon announcing two new titles for the small screens – The Elders Scroll Legends – Elders Scroll style strategy card game similar to Blizzard’s Hearthstone and Fallout Shelter, a vault management game based on the post-apocalyptic series which will be available from tonight on iOS devices. Elders Scroll game does not have a definite release date but will be available on PC and iPads later this year.

Battlecry

The team based action combat game, Battlecry has been in works for quite a while now and gets its trailer unveiled at E3. The game style looks a little different but the details for this too have been under wraps. The beta version of this game is open now and people can sign up with the final version is likely to be released this year during holidays.

Fallout 4

The game that got the internet talking has got a gameplay trailer. Yes, Bethesda revealed Fallout 4 gameplay video at E3 and some more clarity about the game. The game finally has a reveal date – 10 November 2015. Fallout 4 starts pre-nuclear bombs dropping and character creation starts there with the feature being more refined this time around.

VATS also makes a return, though tweaked. It looks like time merely slows down in Fallout 4’s VATS instead of halting entirely.

Also, Bethesda revealed a collectible Pip Boy which will come with the collector’s edition. This can be slotted your phone into and an accompanying app that will interact with the game.
