With the Cricket World Cup in its final stages, everyone is glued to television sets to catch the action and see the batsmen running havoc on the bowlers and bowlers bulldozing the batsmen with their fire-spitting yorkers and bouncers. Stick Cricket 2 brings in exciting new features, a brand new (and improved) look, more tournaments, and chances of becoming the best player in the club cricket circuit.
Catching the World Cup Fever, Stick Sports recently released Stick Cricket 2. With more than 24 stadiums to play at, 22 teams to play for and over 90 challenges to compete for, the game scores for the cricket lover in you. The game is available across iOS and Google Play Store.
The new game picks up from where the old one ended. Here the player starts with humble beginnings as a local player plying his trade in domestic games trying to complete different levels like six derby, last man standing, no dots, survival, time attack, consecutive boundaries or sixes or scoring the most runs in limited overs.
Players advance through from being local cricketers playing at local playgrounds to in later stages playing at domestic levels and then finally to international levels.
Each level of the game has different objectives one has to achieve to attain stumps to unlock next levels. One such is where you are required to complete many consecutive shots to go beyond the boundary line. Another one makes you try to go for the big hits beyond the boundary line. Timing is the key here, but one noticeable thing is that the levels requiring you to hit it out of the park have you trying too hard to achieve the three stumps.
The game is reasonably the same in terms of game mechanics, with overall improvement in the animation of the characters and different number of shots the player can play. The levels provide you with the thrill of completing the task and progress to later stages but the excitement fades away as you move along in the game. The shots when correctly timed look crisp and you can feel the power that you’ve put in to hit the ball.
One doesn’t have to be a cricket lover to be involved in the game as a few shots over the ropes could easily have you jumping for joy in the game as any cricket fanatic. The progress of being a local player and finally making it to the grandest stage will be satisfactory but earning and achieving highest number of stumps in each stage will be a task which one can master over time.
