It’s been less than a month since Makuta VFX studio revealed the VFX shot breakdown video of the work that it has contributed towards the blockbuster film ‘Bahubali’ and it has already crossed 1 million views on its YouTube video.
Some of the major sequences that Makuta worked on were to bring the waterfall to life along with working on the shots of the Mahishmati city from top. The 4:18 minutes long visual treat which was the 2,000 feet high waterfall, was the highpoint of the movie was generated by using 2D maps were used for waterfall transition and 3D model was based on actions.
The kind of work that went into these sequences included 2D, 2.5D matte painting, set extensions, wire removals, digitally creating environments and animals, face and body replacement on the baby, among many other things.
The breakdown video was released on 29 August and the views itself shows us how fanatic people are to know each and every detail in the making of the film. Such kind of work has made the Indian audiences realize the capability of Indian artists and at the same time made the Indian movie makers aware that now they have to step up their game and deliver some great projects in the future.
