Autodesk has announced that the company’s flagship software will now be available for purchase online on a monthly subscription model for Indian customers. People can now buy Autodesk software directly from the official site from 7 December, 2016.
This e-store is first-of-its kind for Autodesk in India and will enable Indian consumers to buy Autodesk software online on monthly subscription on a pay-per-use model. This would significantly ease access to Autodesk’s design tools for business owners and offer greater flexibility, lower upfront costs and an easier access to a broader portfolio of technology. In addition, the industrial hubs in Tier I and Tier II cities would likely benefit from the monthly subscription option that would be available online. It will also cater to the demand for Autodesk softwares driven by the rise of an entrepreneurial economy in India represented by SMBs, startups and very small businesses (VSBs).
Phase one of the Autodesk eStore India will initially offer the following products:
AutoCAD
AutoCAD LT
3ds Max
Maya
AutoCAD Mac
AutoCAD LT for Mac
Product Design Collection
Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection
Commenting on the annoncement,Autodesk, Managing Director, (India & SAARC), Pradeep Nair said, “In India, we continue to see increased adoption of Autodesk software as our customers take advantage of our flexible and affordable subscription model. We now offer them even more choice.
In addition to our well-established network of business partners, the new Autodesk e-store offers another option for our customers to instantly get access to the tools they need to help them make anything.”
Earlier this year, Autodesk moved to a subscription-only model, as a part of which, all its design software is available on annual and quarterly subscription to its customers. In July 2016, Autodesk also announced the availability of its AutoCAD LT software on Amazon.in. To further enhance the ease of access to its software, Autodesk announced availability of three ‘Industry Collections’ in August 2016, which offers a flexible new way to subscribe to a wide selection of the most essential Autodesk software by industry.
