‘Assassin’s Creed’ Producer Jade Raymond parts with Ubisoft

After serving the company for 10 years, Jade Raymond, the managing director and the executive producer on some of the biggest games in Ubisoft’s portfolio departs from the giant today.

Alexandre Parizeau, a founding member of the studio, replaces Raymond as the new managing director from 29 October.

Raymond started her career as a video game programmer for Sony and went to work for Electronic Arts, The Electric Project and finally Ubisoft, Montreal in different capacities. At Ubisoft, Montreal; she worked as a producer for Assassin’s Creed. She co-founded Ubisoft Toronto and served as a managing director since its inception in 2009. Having worked on major games like Watch­_Dogs, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Jade Raymond has certainly made substantial contributions to the gaming industry.

“I’ve spent 10 extraordinary years at Ubisoft, and I am proud to have been part of many of the best teams in the industry making truly remarkable games,” said Raymond. “This is one of the hardest decisions of my career, but the Toronto studio is strong and on a solid path. I’m confident that now is a good time for me to transition leadership of the studio to Alex and to pursue my other ambitions and new opportunities. Ubisoft Toronto does not have any games lined up following the cancellation of Rainbow 6: Patriots in 2014. But it seems the studio is working on a number of secret projects that may be announced next year.
