The United Arab Emirates-based BizTV has taken over Vismayas Max Studios, Kerala’s first Digital theatre sound (DTS) studio, which was set up by the Malyalam film actor Mohan Lal.
BizTV is part of the Aries Group of Companies, which has taken the reigns of the respected production company. With the acquisition, Lal’s production firm will now be known as Aries-Vismayas Max.
“Through Aries-Vismayas Max project we are opening the doors of international movie/TV/advertisement market to the India Film/Media community,” said Aries Group CEO Sohan Roy in a statement.
According to a press release issued by both parties, Aries-Vismayas will become the largest film and TV studio in south India.
Using the global clout of Aries, Roy hopes that it will give the Aries-Vismayas Max label a worldwide reach that it previously never had. The company has a determined plan to reach even more viewers than before. Mohan Lal will continue as the brand ambassador of the company.
Vismayas is currently situated in Kinfra Film and Video Park, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It deals in animation, pre and post-production work, and caters to more than 100 Indian movies in various languages.
BizTV Network is a renowned media company with three 3D movies, two Global TV channels and hundreds of international advertisements; the company even has 20 Academy Award-qualified productions to its name.
