Ankama Animations, a leading independent digital creation group focused on the entertainment industry, has secured broadcast agreements for their new pre-school offering, Kit n Kate.
The brand new 32 x 5 minute, 2D animated series has been picked up by global broadcaster, Jim Jam (Pan-Europe, Poland, Benelux, the Middle East and Africa) and Finland’s YLE.
Produced by Toonbox Animation Studio, Kit n Kate follows the adventures of two cute kittens who learn how to make good choices while having fun in their playroom. Each time they jump in their magical toy chest, their imaginations transform the playroom into colourful worlds where their games make them experience the consequences of good and bad choices. With the help of their parents, Kit n Kate always end up learning how to take the good decision, and find a happy ending to their journey.
Ankama Animations, VP animation, Frédéric Puech commented, “We are delighted to have secured leading broadcasters for Kit and Kate. This brand new animation is an exciting prospect and we look forward to working with leading platforms Jim Jam and YLE in as we introduce the Kit and Kate to pre-schoolers in these key territories.”
The Kit n Kate series is part of a transmedia project including apps for tablets and mobile phones, physical and digital books plus online videos.
The series has already been picked up by EBS (South-Korea) for its TV channel, by ICFLIX for its SVOD platform in all MENA countries, and by The Walt Disney Company Australia for Disney Junior Australia and New Zealand. Some other deals are currently under discussion with broadcasters.
