Animotion and Chikiti Pop partner to bring Peruvian kids’ music to the world

Chikiti Pop, a Peruvian children’s music and entertainment project, announces the beginning of a new international chapter with Animotion music, the global kids and family entertainment music division of Animotion Media Group, a UAE-based company specialising in the production and distribution of children’s and family content.

This new partnership aims to expand the international reach of Chikiti Pop’s music and create new opportunities for its catalog through digital platforms, release strategy, marketing, promotion and international distribution.

As part of this collaboration, Chikiti Pop will work closely with the Animotion Music team on the development and growth of its music releases and catalog, seeking to connect its songs, dances, characters and stories with new audiences across different markets around the world.

Animotion’s music distribution structure also includes Ada (Alternative Distribution Alliance), the independent distribution and label services arm of Warner Music Group, which acts as the exclusive distributor of sound recordings owned or licensed by Animotion Media Group.

Director of Chikiti Pop Santiago Zapata said, “This partnership represents a very important step for Chikiti Pop. We have built our universe from Peru, and now we will be able to bring our songs, dances, characters and stories to new families around the world. We are very excited to begin this new chapter together with Animotion Music.”

Producer of Chikiti Pop Nick Nayib shared, “Chikiti Pop and the Chikitilandia universe will be able to reach even more children and families through this partnership with Animotion Music. We believe in the power of art to create spaces, build connections and continue encouraging culture and creativity among younger audiences.”

Head of music at Animotion Media Group Oleg Troyanovsky stated, “We were immediately drawn to Chikiti Pop’s energy, authenticity and distinctive combination of music, characters, movement and storytelling. The project has strong roots in Peru while also possessing the universal qualities needed to connect with children and families across cultures. We are excited to work with the Chikiti Pop team to develop its catalogue, build a coordinated international release strategy and introduce this joyful universe to new audiences around the world.”

The partnership begins at an exciting time for Chikiti Pop, which is preparing new music and audiovisual releases for the coming months, including original songs, special projects and its upcoming album Chikiti Festival.

Kicking off this new chapter, the original single Six Seven was released on 23 October, accompanied by dedicated audiovisual content created especially for the release.

As for the new upcoming album, it will feature 12 songs, which consists of six original tracks and six covers, as well as collaborations with guest artists. The project will be part of a new stage of musical and audiovisual expansion for Chikiti Pop.
