After a successful launch, VAM Summit and Awards is back! The second edition of VFX and More (VAM) Summit will bring together the VFX and related industries, both national and international under one roof, to pause and reflect on trends, technologies, developments and policies in all contexts spanning business, technical and artistic, whereas the VAM Awards will honour and recognise the magic of the creators behind these immersive, awe-inspiring visuals who have set the bar for the Indian VFX industry.
The first edition was graced by 67 speakers composed of industry stalwarts, veterans, leaders and aspiring artists with an audience of over 750 attendees. The edition successfully garnered over two lakh views by the end of the summit across the social media handles of AnimationXpress (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
With 300+ entries, coming in from not just the visual effects studios but also from the production houses and independent artists, the award ceremony saw a range of breakdowns and sizzle reels, amping up the visual delight. Over the past decade, we have witnessed new technologies and techniques being adopted to deliver some of the best VFX work. Artists are making innovative use of new tools and emerging technologies to create stunning content which deserves its due attention and recognition in the ecosystem. Hence, this year also we will honour the best in the business with our dedicated full-scale VFX awards.
The entries for VAM Awards 2022 are open now, with 20 January being the last day for the submissions. There are seven broad categories with more than 40 sub-categories, under which an individual or a studio can send in their entries.

- DIGITAL & OTT (Long-form and Short-form Content)
- TV serials
- Film/ Movies
- Commercials/Ad
- Student
- Special
- Others
Be it a boutique studio, a student’s project, or a big-ticket movie or an OTT premium original scene that participants have worked on, AnimationXpress encourages all VFX artists to send in their entries, tagging their works in the relevant categories. Right from a compositing artist, FX technical director, FX animator, multimedia artist, VFX artist, VFX supervisor, roto artist to software developer, CG supervisor, director or a producer, VAM Awards is open to all (freelancers/studios/agencies/production houses).
Our team is dedicated to plucking the artistry of VFX professionals across the country from obscurity and recognising their VFX prowess.
Our jury list includes some of the best names from India and abroad who are going to virtually judge each and every entry rigorously using various parameters set for the awards in service of the initiative to further the domestic VFX scenario.

Note: The videos should have been running/live for public viewing, between the period of 1 October 2020 – 31 January 2022. There is no language barrier but the content and the VFX studio should be from India.
