Chris Albrecht, CEO of leading integrated global media and entertainment company Starz, announced the promotion of Alison Hoffman to executive vice president of marketing. Based out of the company’s Beverly Hills office, Alison will spearhead all consumer and affiliate marketing for the network. She will continue to lead all facets of marketing strategy and planning for original productions, including show positioning, creative and media strategy and digital marketing.
“Alison has been instrumental in the success of the company’s original programming expansion and building the Starz brand. She is a talented marketing executive who brings a wealth of expertise to the position,” said Albrecht in a statement.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Brown University. She was promoted from her most recent position of senior vice president of originals marketing. She joined Starz in 2012 after serving as vice president of creative and brand strategy at AMC Networks where she was a key architect of award-winning marketing campaigns for series such as Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. During her time at AMC, she helped reposition the network as it transformed from a movie channel to a home for breakthrough original programming.
