Al Jazeera and Studio 100 sign a deal to collaborate on three shows

The Al Jazeera Media Network has signed  on a deal with Studio 100 Media which shall aim to bring the CG updates of classic brands Vic the Viking and Heidi and CG preschool series Trains to its pan-Arab broadcast outlets; The deal was announced at MIPCOM in France this year.

Al Jazeera has acquired the exclusive Arabic TV rightvivc the vikings for the MENA region for 60 x 12 of Vic the Viking. The show is being produced by is Studio 100 Animation in association with TF1 and ZDF. Al Jazeera has also acquired 39 half-hours of Heidi and 44 x 5 of Trains for its kid-targeted Jeem TV and preschool network Baraem TV.

The channels that are already a home to Studio 100?s Maya the Bee shall have the roll out for these shows commencing by the end of the year. while Heidi is a production of Studio 100 Animation and Flying Bark Productions; Trains is created by Mikhail Pogosov and produced by AA Studio.
