Post the announcement of a “Realtime Experience” patch which will be available universally starting at 12 pm PT/3 pm ET time, Blue Box Game Studios declared that a demo for its upcoming project Abandonded has been delayed due to technical faults.
The Realtime Experience demo can be downloaded right now on the PlayStation Store. When the app loads the game, it gives an option to select a language, before flashing a message that reads that it is not a playable teaser but an introduction of what can be anticipated. Yet, launching the demo now, one will be see a “Check back soon…” message over a black background.
Abandoned is a cinematic, first-person horror survival shooter set in a highly detailed open world environment and favours a realistic approach to survival.
The delay of the Realtime Experience is odd for Blue Box Game Studios as it previously postponed the reveal in late June. Abandoned has also been the lightening rod of a number of rumors, as the game is connected to Hideo Kojima and/or a new entry in Konami’s dormant franchise, Silent Hill.
Blue Box has rubbished the rumors, saying that it has no relations with Konami or Hideo Kojima. Abandoned’s director, Hasan Kahraman, released a video on the studios’ Twitter account confirming he is not Kojima at all.
