ABAI, a non-profit organisation committed to developing the animation, VFX and gaming industry in India since 2006, is set for its latest edition of the ABAI Fest & KAVGC Summit – 2016. Organised at The Lalit Ashok Hotel, Bangalore, this event is backed by the extensive support of the Government of Karnataka, Dept. of IT, BT, S&T and will commence from 16 April till 17 April 2016. The integral aim of ABAI is to get the community together, have meaningful interactions, enrich, inspire and energise professionals and students through this summit.
Just like every year, the event will witness a number of film screenings containing CG and animation content that either don’t make it to the theatres or have a limited/short run in this side of the world. Presentation and talks on the most exciting projects, master classes by some of the talented speakers from India and all over the world will add to the pool of knowledge at this event.
In addition, the ABAI fest this year will witness an artistic and technical challenge in terms of a marathon duration competition of upto 30 hours in areas of animation, lighting, digital and tradition painting, 3D modeling and sculpting and hackathon. This will act as a platform for professionals as well as students to showcase their talent, get recognised and also bag home exciting prizes including cash and a whole lot of hardware and software.
The AVGC industry is constantly evolving and requires fresh skill and talent at every step for its extensive growth. Therefore, the fest will offer a Job & Career Fair and Exhibition area in order to connect AVGC studios with professionals and students looking for job opportunities. Also, the Exhibition area will help established players as well as start-ups to demonstrate and evangelise their products and offerings such as 3D printing, Virtual and Augmented Reality.
The organisers of this fest, a bunch of industry professionals working tirelessly on a pro bono basis comment that there is something for everybody at this event. Thus, professionals of the industry from all parts of India are invited to participate in this event, show solidarity and support the community. They believe that events like there are platform to share, learn, inspire and get inspired and more importantly events like these help the industry strengthen and grow.
The ABAI Fest and KAVGC summit 2016 is a source of knowledge and a platform opening doors to various opportunities for one and all!
