In the wake of the trailer launch of the much-anticipated movie, Thugs of Hindostan, last week, which managed to amass as many as 52 million views in a short span of time, it is reported that actor Aamir Khan doesn’t exactly look too pleased with it.
Khan’s movies are known to have carved a niche in Indian hearts which naturally raises the level of expectations as Mr. Perfectionist has consistently delivered thought-provoking and blockbuster movies over the span of his career. The new action-adventure movie is an adaptation of Philip Meadows Taylors’ 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug making it India’s first movie set in the pirate world.
The trailer was followed by strident criticism from fans all over social media for its average VFX, and fans took to Twitter and other platforms to express their dissatisfaction with the much-hyped Thugs of Hindostan movie.
As per the report from Dainik Bhaskar, a source close to the actor said that Khan keeps a close eye on the reactions of viewers towards his movies. And if the internet is anything to go by, he has every reason to be worried so far as the VFX in the movie is concerned.
Khan is now in talks with the team to see what could be done to ameliorate the special effects in the final movie. However, it seems highly difficult to make major changes since the release of the movie is only a month away.
Perhaps, in an effort to placate the discerning audience, YRF recently released a video titled Making of Thugs Of Hindostan which gives a thorough insight into just how much effort it took in putting together the visual extravaganza.
Well, let’s not judge the book by its cover and wait for the movie to release.
