9 Story Media Group has licensed season three of its award-winning animated preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood to Disney Junior in Latin America. The first season premiered on the Latin American network in 2013, followed by series two in June of 2015. The third season (40 x 11 minutes) takes the total number of episodes to 170 x 11 minutes.
This is not the first time 9 Story Media will venture into Latin America. It has previously licensed to to TV Brasil (Brazil), Canal Once (Mexico), Clarovideo(Latin America), VOD Kids (Chile). The popular preschool series originally launched on PBS Kids (U.S.) and CBC (Canada) in 2012, along with SRC (French Canada), TFO (Canada), ABC (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), Canal+ Family (France), Nick Jr (Italy), Luk International (Spain and Portugal), Disney Junior (Asia, Russia and Indian Subcontinent), Beijing Culture and Communication (China), Zee Learn (Indian Subcontinent), Good TV (Taiwan), JEI TV(South Korea), MediaCorp (Singapore), True Visions (Thailand), TV3 (Thailand), Hop TV (Israel), IRIB (Iran), JCC (Middle East), E Junior (Middle East) and Minika (Turkey). Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood is also available on Netflix across multiple territories.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood is the winner of multiple awards including Best Preschool Animated Series at the 2013 Kidscreen Awards and the 2013 Cynopsis Kids !magination Award for Best Preschool Series.
