7 games releases to look out for in December

We’ve approached the last month of this year and we’re excited to bid adieu to this year with the following games!

Dead Rising 4

Developed by Capcom Vancouver and published by Microsoft Studios, the fourth edition of the open world zombie-survival game will definitely seem even better to the fans as they shoot, slash and smash through hordes of zombies. Why ‘even better’? Because it will be the first instalment of the franchise to ditch the time restriction and thus fans can run free while obliterating zombies with anything and everything in sight. Even with a candy cane gun! The game releases on 6 December.

Platforms: PC and Xbox One.

Bastion

In this role playing game (RPG), you must attempt and create a new world from the ashes of a fallen one, which we had. Bastion has been created by the indie studio, Supergiant Games and is being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. With minimal graphics and lucid gameplay, it might as well be the slow paced RPG you have been looking for. The game will come with 1080p output and the Stranger’s Dream expansion.  The game releases on 12 December.

Platforms: Xbox One.

Last Guardian

After being postponed multiple times, genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio is finally set to launch the much anticipated title. Replete with mesmerising scenery throughout, the trailer featured Trico, the giant cat-bird kind of creature. We’ll be able to get our hands on it on 6 December.

Platforms: PlayStation 4.

Super Mario Run

Here we go! Everyone’s favourite plumber is making its way into the small screen as Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator, had announced it back in September. Nintendo had long been orthodox about consoles, but given the rise of mobile gaming, the developers are now bringing in Mario into iOS. Relive the Mario moments starting 15 December.

Platforms: iOS.

Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission

Yet another virtual reality title makes it to the list this time. This would be an absolute treat to Star Wars fans who ever dreamt of “piloting an X-wing in the far reaches of space” and possibly this is the closest to that you can get right now. It  comes on 6 December.

Platforms: PlayStation 4.

Steep

Sporting a massive open world in the backdrop of the Alps and Alaska, this game promises to bring out the adventure-sports junkie in you. Get on your skis, wingsuit, snowboard, and para-glide, and join the fun on 2 December.

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Super Mario Maker 3DS

A lot of people might already know about this side scrolling game launched by Nintendo last year over Wii U. Now the game featuring the well-known plumber is set to be released over 3DS. Players would be able to share their Mario creativity prowess through wireless means, but will not be able to upload it over the internet. The game releases on 2 December.

Platforms: Nintendo 3DS.
