The weekend is here and there is more reasons to celebrate as Saturday will witness a double whammy, where Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) in their backyard which will be followed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing off against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens.
RCB may have the most star-studded batting line-up but will find themselves under tremendous pressure when they take on defending champions KKR in their IPL 2015 opening encounter. SRH too will face the daunting task of taking on the strong CSK team on their home ground where they have lost only 2 matches in their last 18 matches.
The RCB skipper – Kohli – is a master of modern day cricket and has earned the reputation of an aggressor and he will have AB de Villiers and the brutal giant from the Caribbean, Chris Gayle for company in the team’s quest to win the elusive cup. Once again this season, RCB are more than firm favourites but it remains to be seen whether Kohli, who is seen as the future India captain, is able to steer the ship to win the coveted silverware.
The SRH skipper – Dhawan – is coming on the back of a fabulous Cricket World Cup for India, but will have to manage his troops well to be in the race. He too has the firepower in the team with names like David Warner and Trent Boult, but it will all depend on how well they perform on the given day.
AnimationXpress further brings forth the tale of two super humans from RCB and SRH namely Virat Kohli and Shikar Dhawan, but with an animated twist.
Ryan Reynolds may be cast as the foul-mouthed hero Deadpool in the upcoming movie, but on field, no one else could do better justice to the role as well as our aggressive batsman Virat Kohli. While Kohli may have disappointed us a bit in the World Cup, his performance over the last couple of years have been impressive. What’s got more footage than his cricket is the display of his aggressive nature; just like Deadpool, he too is a hero in disguise.
Careful folks for the Juggernaut is here! Yes our World Cup hero, Shikhar Dhawan is known to break all boundaries. While the giant mutant, Juggernaut can literally head his way through any barrier, Dhawan’s batting style makes him the unstoppable force against any bowler.
Keep watching this space to see which other lucky cricketers get to feature as an animated version of themselves in the coming days…
