We are just a couple of days away from the visual spectacle called the Indian Premiere League and already the season has seen more than its fair share of twists and turns! With a Yuvraj Singh drawing flak from all corners for being auctioned for a handsome booty of Rs 16 crore to the old war horses from Sri Lanka – Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakara – going unsold.
But, there is more to the game than just numbers and stats. These cricketers posses some peculiar characteristics that set them apart from the general crowd, somewhat how superheroes posses unique powers that allow them to serve a larger agenda.
We at AnimationXpress thought that why not bring the two worlds together and draw parallels between some of the most ‘powerful’ cricketers with the most renowned superheroes from the world of animation and comics.
In this new series we will be profiling a power list of 30 cricketers who will be featuring in the eight edition of the Pepsi IPL. Be on the look out to see who will feature as the First Avenger: Captain America or the Caped Crusader: Batman or even the evil Juggernaut.
