Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone has offered Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ star Salman Khan the next Expendables movie.
In a series of tweets, Salman Khan said that Stallone was his hero. Revealing that he still worked out while listening to ‘The Eye of The Tiger,’ Khan said, “Agar kisi ko follow karna hai? Bahar ka… inko follow karo @TheSlyStallone Aapke Hero ka hero Sylvester Stallone.” (If you want to follow someone? From outside… follow him @TheSlyStallone Your Hero’s Hero Sylvester Stallone.)
What’s more, Stallone who is known for his action packed movies replied to Khan by tweeting:
Would like to thank the super talented Indian superstar SALMAN KHAN the Compliment he Tweeted! We should do an ACTION FILM together!

Stallone went on to add, “Thanks my friend! You have BIG heart! Big talent! Big future! KEEP PUNCHING, SALMAN! Your friend Sly Stallone.”

What took the cake and almost broke the internet was Stallone’s last tweet, in which he hinted at Khan being a part of his successful film franchise The Expendables.

It now remains to be seen whether Khan takes up on the offer by Stallone.
The franchise that kicked-off in 2010, has ever since seen two follow-ups with ‘The Expendables 2’ in 2012 and ‘The Expendables 3’ in 2014. It has always added more and more star power and crazy action sequences.
The series boasts of some mega action stars like Jason Statham, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Kelsey Grammer, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell, Victor Ortiz, Robert Davi, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
A fourth film was confirmed in March 2014 by actor Pierce Brosnan, who stated that he had agreed with Avi Lerner to star in a future Expendables sequel.Hulk Hogan stated on his Twitter account that he will be in the fourth film.During an interview, Jean-Claude Van Damme confirmed that he wants to be in The Expendables 4 as well.
Whilst promoting Furious 7, Statham confirmed that he will appear in any new films saying, “I’ll do as many as Sly wants. Working with Sylvester Stallone is beyond a ‘pinch yourself’ moment. I remember growing up watching his films, and to be directed by him in a movie that he’s produced, and to be shoulder-to-shoulder with Sly is a privilege anyone who loves action movies would never turn their nose up at.”
With Salman Khan in the mix, the franchise will certainly add a lot more ‘desi’ punch to the high-octane action sequences and this may even open the doors to a lot more Bollywood stars doing Hollywood projects.
