Rise of the Tomb Raider Brian Horton finds his new adventure at Infinity Ward

The director of the hit franchise Rise of the Tomb Raider Brian Horton who’s been associated with the hit franchise’s company Crystal Dynamics for more than seven years will now be seen working on yet another famous game Call of Duty for Infinity Ward.

The news about this move came via his social media pages wherein Horton wrote on Tumblr, “It’s been a huge honor to be a part of the Tomb Raider franchise and the team at Crystal Dynamics. I’ve met fans from all over the world, both in person and online, to share in our love for the franchise and Lara Croft. After working on two amazing games, my family and I have decided to return to Southern California and start a new adventure. As sad as I am to leave the team at Crystal, I’m excited to play their future games as a fan.” An update to Horton’s LinkedIn page revealed that his new adventure is his position at Infinity Ward where he joined in this month as the studio art director.

The 21 year veteran of the video game industry, Horton has a vast experience under his hood and has worked on many games like Rise of the Tomb Raider (XB1, Xbox360), Ghostbusters (X360, PS3, Wii), Mummy 3 (DS) and Indiana Jones and the Em.

At Crystal Dynamics when Horton joined the team, he worked as the senior art director for about six years and in January 2015 he got promoted as the game director.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to PC on 28 January and on PlayStation 4 later this year whereas Lara Croft‘s latest adventure is currently available on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

As for Infinity Ward, it’s expected to be working on the next Call of Duty game and the last two entries in the series were developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer.Rise of the Tomb Raider
