Disney is known for creating magic on screen with their animated movies. Replete with valuable lessons and memorable characters, the features almost always etch a positive mark on the minds of the audience.
One of those movies was the 2012 feature ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ which penned a landmark garnering $49 million in revenues over its opening weekend, making it the largest opening weekend for any Walt Disney Animation Studios movie at that time.
Now, the sequel to this beloved movie has been officially announced. During a Facebook Live session, it was confirmed that the movie will hit theatres on 9 March, 2018 and the original team will be working for the sequel too. The protagonist Ralph will once again be voiced by John C. Reilly, who had previously revealed plans for the sequel and Sarah Silverman will be joining him in voicing his side-kick Vanellope von Schweetz.

The directors have also been roped in from the original title, Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, who have recently tasted immense success with Zootopia.
Further, we now know that this time Ralph will be venturing into the internet. Yes, into the enormous world of the web where possibilities are incessant. Johnston seems to think so too as his statement in the press release said, “The world of the internet is the perfect place to send Ralph and Vanellope. The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless.”
Wreck-It Ralph grossed $471.2 million worldwide, out of which $189 was from North America making it the fourth highest grossing animated film of 2012. Given the fact that Disney has pushed Gigantic’s release from March to November shows that they might be working really hard on giving Ralph the power to wreck the internet this time. Let’s see how it goes!
