The new Batman Arkham game will have dual play mechanics a.la Grand Theft Auto V. Batman: Arkham Knight will see players seamlessly switching between the two players to achieve leverage the combating edge over the Arkham enemies.
The new Arkham Knight trailer displays some ‘sick’ moves by Dark Knight along with his allies which include Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman. Warner Bros. has confirmed the dual move mechanic.
The official Rocksteady press release states: “For the first time ever, watch Batman: Arkham Knight’s exciting new ‘Dual Play’ feature in action, which will allow players to seamlessly switch between The Dark Knight and his allies including Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman in FreeFlow Combat.”
The trailer shows Batman along with Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman performing combo combat moves making enemies taste the dust.
Harley Quinn, will be a playable character as part of a downloadable content challenge maps pack. As Harley, one can fight within the Blüdhaven Police Department in a story that takes place prior to the events of Arkham Knight.
Also, seen in the trailer is the assassin Azrael, along with Two-Face, Scarecrow and Oracle apart from the game’s primary villain Arkham Knight, who is seen quite a few times through the trailer with an army of drones and soldiers behind him. So, a gruesome game is in the making and this is evident as is seen with the ratings it has received – M rating which is a first for the Batman series.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be out 23 June 2015 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with Mac and Linux planned for a later date.
