After the adorable Minions, it is time for a gang of pets to entertain and stride along a new wave of adventure. Illumination Entertainment, the creators of the tiny yellow phenomenal characters, have created another upcoming feature based on the secret of The Secret Life of Pets.
The second trailer reveals the plot of the film right at the start as it enters the lives that pets live after their owners leave for their daily chores. With different breeds of cats and dogs conversing with each other, the film focuses on a dog named Max who is very close to his owner Katie. And the sweet merry life of Max is disrupted when a mongrel named Duke enters his life and shares or rather takes over his space. Well, the plot does not end there; it goes on further as Max and Duke go missing in the city only to find themselves under the clutches of a rabbit Snowball.
As Illumination is known for its adventurous nature of film making, this feature too has a lot of surprise adventures which can be gauged form the trailer itself. The fact that the whole gang of pets set out on a mission to find and rescue Max beholds a number of adventures that we can expect. The trailer is full of sudden outbursts, for an instance, as the trailer concludes the pets are seen enjoying rock music to the core.
As far as animation is concerned, Illumination has definitely undergone a paradigm shift in creating this feature as it has widened its tentacles by creating a number of unique characters unlike just the minions. Even after having Minions, which went to be the second highest grossing film of the year, and the beloved yellow characters creating a place in a million hearts across the globe, Illumination has the paramount task to keep up to its standard and create the same splendour once again. Well, the animation company has tried a new route as this is its fourth venture after the Despicable Me franchise.
Directed by Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney and written by Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, this film is released by Universal Pictures. Also, it has a voice cast of comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart along with Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks. This new attempt of the humans behind Despicable Me will hit theatres on 8 July, 2016.
