The DC Universe is expanding and has been able to capture its audiences with its superhero comic shows The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, iZombie and the recent Supergirl. And with Marvel planning a superhero team up, Defenders that’s going to run on Netflix, DC is not far behind as it has finally released DC’s Legends of Tomorrow series trailer.
Legends of Tomorrow is the spin off series of The Flash and Arrow where one will get to witness new superheroes who are heroes and villains from Arrow and The Flash. The CW has recently revealed a trailer which is insanely sick and has some amazing visual effects. The story revolves around Rip Hunter who travels back in time to the present day where he brings together a team of heroes and villains in an attempt to prevent Vandal Savage (an immortal supervillain) from destroying the world and time itself. The question lies, can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
The series stars Victor Garber (The Flash) as Firestorm, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) as The Atom, Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) as Rin Hunter, Caity Lotz (Arrow) as White Canary, Ciarra Renee (Pippin) as Hawk Girl, Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow) as Firestorm, with Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) as Heat Wave and Wentworth Miller (The Flash) as Captain Cold. Casper Crump will be seen playing immortal Vandal Savage who has manipulated leaders throughout history in an attempt to gain dominion over the entire world.
The man behind The Flash, Supergirl and Arrow, Greg Berlanti serves as the executive producer in this series alongside Marc Guggenheim (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash) and Sarah Schechter (Pan). The show hails from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres on the CW in 21 January, 2016.
