DreamWorks makes the ‘Trolls’ roll on Watch Me Whip

The iconic Troll dolls of the 60s are back and are seeing grooving to the western beat as DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox released the trailer for its upcoming animated feature Trolls. This feature ought to be a comedy adventure filled with a variety of music as the trailer itself has music ringing throughout the background.

Directed by Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Walt Dohrn, this film revolves around the story of Troll dolls each with a distinct nature and perspective of life. In the trailer itself, the tiny colourful long haired dolls can be seen dancing to the beats of Silento’s ‘Watch me Whip Whip, Watch me Nae Nae’. The trailer commences as if leading to the revelation of a serious film as it reverberates the lines ‘This is our civilisation…’ And the suspense is short lived as the trolls emerge to sing and dance to glory.

The fact that the trolls are considered delightful but delicious conveys the adventure that lay ahead in the film. But from the trailer too, nothing much can be gauged about the plot of the film. However, the voice cast is a bunch of talented artists with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick playing the lead characters.

One noticeable feature in the entire trailer is the hair of all the characters. In fact, the trailer begins with long thick blue hair leading your eyes down to a tiny Troll. The distinct features of every Troll character create a peculiar image of the ’90s dolls from this short trailer itself. After Kung Fu Panda 3, this next project of DreamWorks Animation is set to release on 4 November, 2016.
