Gamers have been waiting for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V, which was to hit stores this month, but there is still some hope with a few good titles that are lined up for March to fulfill your gaming desires. So, don’t be disheartened by the news and get ready to start the rumbling on your keyboards and gamepads.
1. Assassin’s Creed Rogue
The PS3 and Xbox 360 game Assassin’s Creed Rogue finds its place in Windows PC. This is the seventh major instalment in the series and also acts as a sequel to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and prequel to Assassin’s Creed III. It also served as a prologue to the broken Ubisoft game Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The story is set in the mid 18th century and follows Irishman Shay Patrick Cormac’s journey during the Seven Years War. The gameplay is similar to Black Flag with elements of open world ship exploration and third person melee combats. The game released on 10 March on PCs.
2. Bloodborne
One of the most awaited games for the PS4 fanboys, Bloodborne is an action RPG from Dark Souls developers From Software. Combined with brutal combat and evil looking weapons, the game is based in the city named Yharnam, a gothic ruined setting for such games. The city holds a potent medical remedy. One takes the role of a traveller making a pilgrimage to the city seeking the remedy, but upon arriving, the player learns that the city is plagued by an illness that transforms its hosts into brutal creatures. Bloodborne will be available from 24 March.
3. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is a toy version of your favourite Mario characters, which also says hints at small game levels. The time needed to finish the game is relatively also short. Tipping Stars features six main game worlds, each including eight levels. Each level has the same goal: lead tiny toy figures of Mario, Toad, Peach, and more to the door at the end of the stage using touchscreen puzzle mechanics such as building bridges, removing barriers, or being thrown in the air by Donkey Kong. The game is available both on Wii U and 3DS and is already on the shelves from 5 March.
4. Battlefield Hardline
Since Battlefield 4’s release, EA has been in damage control mode for the franchise and is finding ways to fix the image of game licence. The company has placed a new twist on the Battlefield world with Battlefield: Hardline, which features police officers and criminals that will focus on heists and defence of those heists. With Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare doing really well for the Activision franchise, competing with it would be really hard. Also, since GTA Online added Heist Mode to the game it would be exciting to see whether Hardline is a step towards fixing the mishandled franchise or if it is broken cash grab from EA. Hardline is set to release on March 17.
5. Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious
Before the major release in April, Forza is coming up with the game version of the movie franchise. In the game you play as a driver in France who must source vehicles for mechanic Tej Parker, played by Ludacris in the movie and game. The game features cars like 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto. Cars from Furious 7 also in the game include a 1998 Toyota Supra, 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, 2012 Nissan GT-R, 1970 Plymouth Cuda, 2013 Jeep Wrangler, 2014 Maserati Ghibli S and 2015 Dodge Charger. By completing various challenges you’ll be able to unlock the new cars for free roam play. Forza 2 releases on 27 March.
