After various special zones on Zapak.com for every age group, it has now launched a separate section targeting girls in the age group of 12 to 25 years.
Zapakgirls.com currently has exciting games that can be played for free including strategy, puzzles and arcade, weekly tarot forecast by Poonam Badlani, forums and an expert advice section. Shortly, it plans on hosting celebrity guests who would give expert advice under the expert advice section.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, Rohit Sharma, COO of Zapak.com shared, “Internationally over 50% of the gamer community is formed by women. Currently, 12% of the registered users on Zapak.com are girls. We felt that there was a potential to up this number. Hence, we decided to create a micro site specially catering to the female audience and also provide features which would appeal to them along with games which appeal to the girls and other services like tarot and expert advice.”
Adding further, Sharma said, “We have about 300 games on Zapak.com that would interest girls too, but there are some which are specifically meant for them,such as fashion and styling. Zapakgirls.com is still at an initial stage, and we will be adding more games and features on it, to get the girls hooked onto the site.”
For the development of content on Zapakgirls, Zapak has also tied up with few game studios. Revenues for Zapak will be primarily from advertising
