Composer duo The Flight, consisting of Joe Hensen and Alexis Smith widely known for some of the best video game Original Soundtracks (OST) like Sony’s Horizon Zero Dawn, WB Games’ Gotham Knights, and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey are returning alongside two more composer teams to craft an immersive soundscape for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Ubisoft has also announced that four exclusive tracks from the game will be out on all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and more on this Friday, 14 June.
The next team of composers include the electric Japanese psych-rock group TEKE::TEKE. The group has a unique approach to crafting mind-bending psychedelic symphonies with the combined use of traditional Japanese instruments such as flute and trombone alongside the energetic wave of guitars and mesmerizing vocals. The band will also be working on producing an original version of the franchise’s theme Ezio’s Family to pay homage to the roots of the series.
The third and final team of composers consists of immensely talented folk such as Hugo Brijs, Alex Cameron Ward, and Félix Rebaud-Sauer from the team Thunderdrum alongside Tanzania based rapper Tigs Da Author to create a perfect blend of psychedelic and rock to enhance the overall experience. Players will be thrilled to experience the full soundtrack in- game when the game releases on 15 June this fall.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the latest AAA installment in the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed franchise and is set in the Sengoku period and follows the familiar struggle between the Assassin’s Brotherhood and the Templar Order from the point of view of two protagonists Naoe, a female shinobi and Yasuke, an African Samurai based on the historical figure bearing the same name. The two protagonists will feature different gameplay styles and will allow players to approach quests in different ways. Like to play stealthily? Or wanna go loud and proud? Assassin’s Creed Shadows allows players the freedom to play their own way.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a next generation game and will be out on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Microsoft Windows. It will be also offered as a day-one release on Ubisoft+ Premium. Ubisoft+ Premium is a subscription service that offers the entire portfolio of Ubisoft games along with a wide range of indie games every month for a fairly affordable price.
