XP Gaming Inc, the organisers of the XP Game Developer Summit, announce major partnerships with video game industry leaders including Ubisoft, Behaviour Interactive, AMD, AWS, Gameloft, and Certain Affinity for the upcoming conference to be held at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, 20 to 21 April, 2023.
The summit is Canada’s premier business-to-business video game conference. Known for their global networking opportunities, world-class speakers, exclusive panels, and tailored workshops, the summit is designed to support Canada’s $5.5 billion video game sector.
“The XP Game Developer Summit couldn’t exist without the support of these industry titans. They’re part of the very foundation of the Canadian video game sector,” says XP Gaming founder Jason Lepine. “And for smaller studios, it’s incredibly important to be able to connect with these industry pillars and learn from them.”
Ubisoft has inspired generations of video game developers as an industry-leading AAA developer and publisher, establishing itself over 25 years ago in Canada with studios now in Halifax, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. They will be on hand to speak with developers, join in panels and look forward to featuring winners from their Ubisoft Indie Series – the annual competition for independent game development studios with cash prizes, mentorship, and tools.
“We have a thriving and dynamic industry around us, and the XP Game Developer Summit is a testament to that,” said Ubisoft director of corporate affairs Julien Lavoie. “As Canada’s largest B2B video game conference, it’s a key moment for us to come together as an industry to share our expertise, while also showcasing the leadership, innovation, and creativity of studios and developers in Canada to the world.”
These industry leaders will join over a dozen publishers and international investors who will be at the summit to connect with everyone. AAA, AA, and indie studios can pitch their projects, get the support they need, build their network and learn from some of the top companies in the industry.
To help foster Canadian gaming industry connections and discover new business opportunities, preeminent event platform provider, MeetToMatch, will be on-hand to deliver targeted networking and business-to-business experiences.
Additional features of the summit include:
- Targeted networking provided by MeetToMatch
- Global business networking with studios and publishers
- Business and technical dedicated panels
- Canada’s Largest Game Showcase
- Business Lounge
- The brand new Esports Lounge
- And more!
