Chennai based esports organisation Skyesports will now host official tournaments for Valorant, Legends of Runetera , Team Fight Tactics in India and will include some of these titles in their upcoming flagship tournaments like Skyesports Championship 2.0,( a LAN tournament which was held in Chennai) and Skyesports Grandslam (an online tournament which was hugely popular in its first edition).
Speaking about the partnership, Sky Esports CEO Shiva Nandy says, “We are delighted to explore more titles which are popular and have gamer’s interest. There is a huge gamer base in India which has now moved to play Valorant and other titles. We can explore with more tournaments and expand our base. We plan to reach every gamer who plays esports and make them champions. “
The rise and popularity of Valorant in India will certainly see a big spike in Indian esports. Mobile-based esports games like Legends of Runetera and Teamfight Tactics are gaining huge popularity in India since its release earlier this year & Skyesports plans to explore these titles and come up with more tournaments. In the past six months, Skyesports has been hosting various tournaments across platforms and multiple titles.
