Psyonix has announced that season one of Rocket League Sideswipe – a brand-new, standalone free Rocket League game for mobile devices is now live worldwide on iOS and Android!
In season one of Rocket League Sideswipe, players can unlock cosmetic items and progress through the free Rocket Pass by playing Online Matches. In addition, Competitive Ranks have been reset and players can play in Ranked Online Matches to receive rewards based on their highest Competitive Rank once season one ends. Those that participated in pre-season will also receive a Reward, which is a Title based on the Competitive Rank reached at the end of the Pre-Season.
Rocket League Sideswipe is a standalone game that brings the competitive, car soccer gameplay of sports-action hit Rocket League to mobile screens with a new perspective on the field! Built from the ground up for mobile devices, Rocket League Sideswipe features fast-paced gameplay in multiple game modes, competitive online matches, seasons, and tons of customization options. Featuring intuitive touchscreen controls that make it easy to pick up and play for longtime Rocket League players and newcomers alike, Rocket League Sideswipe is available to play on Android and iOS devices.
A Rocket League Crossover Event is also available beginning today until 25 January. Players can complete two Challenges in Sideswipe to receive the Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion in Rocket League and in Sideswipe! They can also get the song “Water Resistant” by Anamanaguchi as a Player Anthem in Rocket League by logging into Sideswipe before the event concludes. Players must be logged into Sideswipe with the same Epic Games Account used for Rocket League in order to unlock the contents of the crossover event. Lastly, the songs featured in Rocket League Sideswipe are now available in Rocket League as a playlist in Rocket League Radio.
