When the latest update for KRAFTON Inc.’s PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS releases on 1 December for PC and 9 December for consoles, players will be able to embrace the holiday spirit as key areas throughout the Vikendi map will be decorated in a winter wonderland theme. Several areas throughout the map, including Dinoland, Castle and Winery will be ornamented with a special holiday makeover, including thematic weather effects that will be available on the map for players who wish to use this setting in Custom Matches.
But that’s not all – see below for a full rundown of Update 15.1:
- Going Off-Trail With A New Vehicle – Mountain Bike: Available on all maps in Normal Matches when 15.1 launches, Mountain Bikes will be found as lootable items in a folded state, most often on the outskirts of a map. Setting the Mountain Bike apart from other vehicles in the game, it is man-powered and doesn’t have an engine. This means players can move stealthily around the map to avoid conflict or take enemies by surprise. Players will also be able to sprint, jump and pop wheelies on the Mountain Bike, which will make it one of the more dynamic vehicles in the game.
- New Ranked Season: Update 15.1 introduces a new ranked season, meaning all rewards earned during the Ranked Season 14 have been automatically added to players’ inventory.
- Sanhok Gets Some Updates: After considering player feedback, adjustments to Sanhok’s Bootcamp point of interest will be streamlined to allow for more tactical engagement opportunities. Sanhok’s Shoreline area will see the addition of more rocks and trees to reduce player vulnerability when traversing the area. Finally, weather effects will be adjusted to improve player visibility throughout the map.
- Map Rotation: With 15.1, Vikendi will replace Paramo in Normal Matches while Paramo is also removed from Ranked Matches. The new map rotation for matches is the following:
- Normal Matches:
- Erangel
- Miramar
- Sanhok
- Taego
- Vikendi
- Ranked Matches:
- Erangel
- Miramar
- Taego
