‘Overwatch 2’ & ‘World of Warcraft’ crossover brings new in-game cosmetics and free rewards

In the latest collaboration between FPS Overwatch 2 and MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game) World of Warcraft games, Activision Blizzard has brought new legendary skins, emotes and free rewards to Overwatch 2. The collaboration celebrates World of Warcraft’s (WOW) 20th anniversary.

The crossover event started on 17 September and will be live until 30 September uniting WOW’s primary game world Azeroth and Overwatch’s game world Future Earth. The collaboration will bring skins like Sylvanas Windrunner Widowmaker, Lich King Reinhardt, Thrall Zenyatta, and Diamond Magni Torbjorn to Overwatch 2

The event will add emotes inspired by WOW’s NPC quest givers to add a touch of nostalgia to Overwatch 2’s playable characters. Players will be able to collect up to 10 free rewards including charms, sprays, icons and name cards throughout the duration of the crossover. All the skins and cosmetics from the crossover will be sold in the Mega Bundle on the Overwatch 2 in-game  marketplace.

The game will also be bringing back well-known modes for the second year anniversary of Overwatch 2 which will kick off with the return of Beast Hunt and community crafted modes, followed by challenges of cosmic crisis on the second week and concluding with Mirrorwatch and Prop Hunt modes for the final week.
