The Obsidian game Grounded, which is playable on Xbox and PC, and pits little players against backyard dangers on their mini-adventures, finally has a launch date for version 1.0. On 27 September, Grounded will officially launch after having existed as an early access product for about two years. The creators have confirmed this much in addition to sharing information about what the players might expect before the 1.0 release.
Obsidian revealed the complete game’s release date along with a video from Adam Brennecke, the game’s director, outlining some overarching goals for the upcoming update and the Grounded IP as a whole. That featured a sneak peek at what will appear in the upcoming Home Stretch update, which, as its name implies, will be the last significant update before the game’s 1.0 release.
The game will receive one more major update after that, although it won’t necessarily be a major one in terms of content. The Obsidian team announced this one will be a little lighter than prior updates as the team concentrates on the big launch over on the page for the latest flight.
It’s also important to note that Grounded will cost $39.99 instead of $29.99 when the full game officially launches, so if you’re intending to buy it, do so now!
