Mumbai based Nilee Games has recently released their latest Android g
aming app on upcoming Bollywood Movie ‘Gang of Ghosts’, that is set for delivery on Friday 21st March.
Game is developed by Nilee Games in association with The Satish Kaushik Entertainment and Venus Record and Tapes.
AnimationXpress.com caught up with Anand Jha, Founder of Nilee Games to know the i
nteresting aspects of this game.
Hi Anand, how did this project happen?
I was introduced to Satish Kaushik by a good friend. While conversing with Satish, I discussed the idea of creating a game based on his upcoming movie “Gang of Ghosts”. Satish briefed me about the movie and I then started brainstorming on varied gaming concepts.
I presented the concept of a tap-based endless side-scrolling game in which the player has to dodge past the obstacles and on-coming ghosts to escape from the haunted house.
He liked the concept and polished it further. You will also experience a special power (psych mode) which when activated, transforms the player into a rainbow unicorn that doesn’t get killed as long as it is active.

When did you launch the game and please share more about the look and feel?
It was launched as a free android app by me Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher, Sharman Joshi, Mahi Gill & other cast and crew of the movie “Gang of Ghosts” at a Mall in Mumbai.
We’ve instilled a comic look pertaining to the overall plot of the movie, “Gang of Ghosts”, which we feel would appeal to masses. All the characters in the game are given the Toon art style to add some extra fun to the game; on the other hand, we have taken care not to lose their resemblance with the original characters in the movie.
How much time you took to create the game and shed light on the animation?
This game took us around 15 – 20 days to develop. We chose the old-school frame by frame animation system and blended them together using Unity’s mecanim animation system as we don’t have any complex animations in the games.

I’ve been the Executive Producer for the game. Vijay Rakshe is the Production Head, Game Designer is Dhaval Panchal, Game Artists are Hitesh B Kurle and Dhaval, Game Programming is taken care off by Pallav Parichay Panda, Quality Assurance done by Devabrata Sinha, Website managed by Shantanu Kulkarni, myself and Dhaval
