Nextwave Multimedia’s ‘Race with Words’ game to be available on Amazon, Windows Store & Mac App store

After launching its 3D game app ‘Race with Words’ on Samsung Apps, Windows Phone, Google Play and iTunes , Nextwave Multimedia Pvt Ltd- a Chennai based gaming studio, is  now working towards making it available on Amazon, Windows Store (PC version), Mac App store (Mac Version) too . This free game app which revolves around the 3D character of a bunny is targeted at tiny tots belonging to the age group of 6 years and above.
Bugs Bunny was the principle inspiration for designing the different bunny characters for this game. The game play consists of a racing bunny fueled by words created by the player. As words are fuel in this game, the quicker the player forms maximum words with the deck of letter, the faster the rabbit runs.

The game aims at making learning fun by developing strong vocabulary skills which is an essential part of every child’s growing years.  Talking to AnimationXpress.com, P R Rajendran, Director, Nextwave Multimedia Pvt Ltd, says, “We all know that racing is a genre that kids of all ages would love to play and building up the vocabulary for a child is pretty hard. Keeping this in mind, we decided to combine racing and word building together into our game, which finally blossomed into ‘Race with Words’.”

The two modes in this game is what brings out distinctive characteristics of this game and makes it fun but at the same time a challenging task to accomplish. In the Race mode, the player has to input words as fast as possible to make sure that the bunny is running constantly. The bunny that crosses the finish line first will win the race. And on the other hand, in the Time Mode, the player will need to prove his vocabulary mettle, by scoring the highest while by forming complex words within the predefined time limit in order to win.
P R Rajendran further adds, “To make the game even more fun, we added 5 power tiles which comprise of Nitro Tile, Slow Tile, Multiplier, Joker Tile and New Tile that can aid the player during the tough word race.”  This studio is also working on creating ‘Synchronous’ and ‘Asynchronous’ Multiplayer mode that will be updated soon to this game.

Talking about the look and feel of the game, P R Rajendran mentions, “We decided to stick to a ‘Cartoony’ look, as cute bunnies and colorful sceneries are something kids love and will attract kids to play it.” There’s even a mild genre of music being played throughout the game to bring out a light and unstressful feel to the game and a direct connect to the children. Blender & Unity3D game engine were used in the making and designing of this game.
