Microsoft and Atari Inc. have announced the future arrival of some classic coin operated games on Xbox Live arcade, one of the premiere destinations for downloadable games. Beginning in January 2007, Atari will release six titles on Xbox Live Arcade by the end of ’07.
Both classics and evolved versions will be available for each of the titles including Centipede/Millipede, Battlezone, Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe, Missile Command, Tempest and Warlords.
“With our already diverse library of retro classics, original development and indie games, plus a host of new games hitting our service in the upcoming months, it’s never been more fun to play on Xbox Live Arcade,” said Greg Canessa, group manager of Xbox Live Arcade.
Xbox Live Arcade will be releasing some other titles by this Christmas like: Small Arms (Gastronaut Studios), Novadrome (Buena Vista Games), Assault Heroes (Wanako/Vivendi Games), Heavy Weapon (PopCap Games) , are a few to name.
