Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man Remastered’ for PC to release on 12 August, specs revealed

Next month sees the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for Windows PC. Developer Insomniac Games released a feature-heavy trailer showcasing the extras PC players can expect from a superhero blockbuster that was remastered for PlayStation 5 two years ago.

The PC-specific features include Nvidia Surround multi-monitor configurations and compatibility for ultra-wide panels, including panoramic 32:9 and 21:9 aspect ratio monitors. If your setup can handle it, Spider-Man Remastered will have unlocked frame rates, improved shadows, and ray-traced reflections that deliver even more detail, according to Insomniac.

For users with GeForce RTX graphics cards, Marvel’s Spider-Man will also feature Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling and Anti-Aliasing (DLSS and DLAA), which improve frame rates and visual quality.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC will support the new PlayStation DualSense controller in addition to keyboard and mouse controls and improved graphic support. Players will have more customisation and remapping possibilities with the integration of Steam Input. This matrix of PC specifications for five levels of performance, from minimum to amazing ray tracing and ultimate ray tracing, was also published by Insomniac.

Three Spidey costumes, the Spider-Drone combat gadget, and five extra skill points to bolster ol’ Webhead are early unlocks for pre-order customers. The launch date for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on Steam and the Epic Games store is set for 12 August.
