Indian esports tournament organiser Skyesports has unveiled the Skyesports Showdown, an Rs 1,00,000 open-for-all Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament. The Showdown will be presented by LG UltraGear, and powered by AMD.
Registrations for the Skyesports Showdown are currently open. Players can register with a team of at least five players and two optional substitutes to battle it out for the title.
Skyesports founder and CEO Shiva Nandy said, “The Skyesports Showdown is another Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament which we have introduced to elevate the PC game’s esports status in India from the grassroots level.”
All registered teams will compete in the open qualifier on 28 and 29 May. The top four teams of the open qualifier will advance to the playoffs, set to happen from 31 May to 2 June. This stage will be live-streamed on the official Skyesports YouTube and Twitch channels.
The playoffs will see the four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket, with all games being a best-of-three.

The Showdown will be followed by the Skyesports Championship, a $200,000 Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament featuring teams from around the world. This competition will take place from 23 to 28 July as an on-ground event in India.
