Keywords Studios honours Lakshya with the “Medal of Honour”

Lakshya, India’s leading game art and animation services company, has been awarded the ‘Medal of Honour’ by the board of Keywords Studios for the exemplary work by the Lakshya team to help employees through Covid-19 pandemic. Amongst many companies that were shortlisted for the recognition, Lakshya stood out for its timely and people driven approach.

With the objective of enabling employees to stay not only safe but also productive through the pandemic, the company took key steps to build the confidence of  employees. To create a proper work environment at home, the Lakshya team went out of the way to not only send across computers and graphic tablets to their employees across India, but also rolled out a secure VPN network in record time (to ensure that client and project data remained secure). An all-India network of dedicated hardware support teams was created for employees to reach out to so that they  could work with ease remotely. Needless to say that the support also included work-related reimbursements as well as financial and other support to those who contracted the virus. The Lakshya team went the extra mile consistently in helping employees and went to the extent of arranging for them hospital beds, oxygen cylinders and concentrators, even medicines and meals.

This was also a time for the team to put in extra efforts to understand the employees and find a methodical way to create a satisfaction metric. Lakshya recognised the stress and difficulty that the employees must have faced in the tough Covid times and so launched an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) under which employees can reach out to professional counsellors free of cost to discuss their problems.

The employee-centric approach paid  great dividends as the company saw good business growth in the past financial year, where other companies were struggling to survive, which is exceptional for COVID times. This growth of course, helped Lakshya to hire more people and provide much-needed employment to people during such uncertain times.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshya CEO Manvendra Shukul said, “We are privileged to win the Medal of Honour. Such recognitions reaffirm our belief in our value system and the work culture that we so passionately follow. The pandemic has been tough and especially the second wave was devastating for everyone. I am happy and grateful to our entire team for going above and beyond the expected. Lakshya is more than just a strong team, we are an extended family that takes care of each other.”
