Reliance Industries’ digital company Jio and chip maker company Qualcomm have joined hands to launch of JioGames Esports platform. The popular online shooting game Call of Duty Mobile Aces is going to be the first game to be featured on the JioGames platform.
Qualcomm India vice president and president Rajen Vagadia, said “Mobile gaming is one of the fastest-growing segments in India. Almost 90 per cent of the gamers in India are using their mobile as their primary device for gaming.”
“The collaboration between the two is set to bring superior gaming experiences to the gaming enthusiasts across India through multiple contests that will be organized by JioGames on the JioGames Esports platform with QCTAP as a title sponsor,” Jio said in a statement.
Jio and Qualcomm CDMA Technologies Asia Pacific Pte (QCTAP) have started registration for the first econtest of ‘Call of Duty’ in India with a prize pool of Rs 25 lakh.
The tournament “Call of Duty Mobile Aces Esports Challenge” will be open for both Jio and non-Jio users, according to the joint statement.

Registrations for the JioGames Call of Duty Mobile Aces tournament have begun on 1April 2021. The registrations will be open until 11April for solo players. Meanwhile, for 5v5 team players registrations will last until 30April this year. Qualifier matches will commence on 11June 2021, and the finals will be held on 20June 2021.
