You’re a Foodie! You’re in your favorite restaurant, enjoying your time, eating your meal. And out of nowhere, someone starts a food fight! Now you don’t like to see food being wasted like that. So, you start eating! And you keep eating as much as you can to save it from being wasted is the game play of Infinite Entertainment’ debut game titled ‘Food Fights’.
Out now on Android, Windows Phone and iOS, this 3D game is targeted to casual gamers, and is created by Amit Ramanuj, the founder of this studio, who defines gaming as fun, relaxing, challenging, entertaining, educating and so much more!
The idea of this game struck Amit last year at NASSCOM Game Developer Conference, where he was a delegate, “I attended a workshop on Game Design by Gregg Barnett. He demonstrated how a small casual game concept can be formed. This session inspired me to develop ‘Food Fights’.”
“In Food Fights, you keep feeding your character so that he (sort of) sits and eats endlessly. The game design still went through many changes and editing before it came to be this. And it’s still evolving, I’m continuously looking for ideas to put in this game.” adds more
You tap the food that’s flying around and it will fall on your table for your character to eat. If you miss to tap an item, the food meter above fills up. Special powers such as slow motion, soda that reduces food meter and many more are built in the game.
To relate ‘Food Fights’ to Indian audiences, Amit has made sure to include a Indian touch to it “The characters, the restaurant, the food items, are based on Indian restaurants, and food items flying around include Dosa, Vadapav, Tandoori, and even Dhokla flying around!! I may feature US or UK themes in this game soon.” informs more
Developed using Unity3D engine, this game will see the addition of fresh new themes, backgrounds, characters and animations.
Porting the game for Windows was a challenge for Amit, “Windows Phone market is still growing and it was relatively difficult to find plug-ins and code references for the challenges we faced.”
“Currently I’m fully focused on updating Food Fights. I also have a couple of game designs ready to be developed. And that’s what I’ll be working on next. Making video games has always been fun, and there’s a lot more to learn in this industry, wouldn’t you agree?” concludes Amit
