Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division today inaugurated India’s first Xbox 360 lounge at Imax Adlabs in Wadala, Mumbai. The lounge will give gaming enthusiasts in Mumbai a unique opportunity to play games on the Xbox 360 console much ahead of the product’s formal roll out in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Mitch Koch, Corporate VP, Global Retail Sales and Marketing Group, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division told Animation ‘xpress “The Xbox 360 has met with tremendous response from various genres across the world and is fast emerging to be the hub of digital entertainment. In India, judging by the huge customer demand and anticipation around the launch, we are confident that the product will be a definite sell out. In this context, by setting up the Xbox 360 Lounges we seek to provide gamers an opportunity to test drive the exhilarating games on the Xbox 360 before they finally get their own Xbox 360 console which will be available later this year”
“The Xbox 360 games consoles in India won’t hit retail store shelves until the pre Diwali season this year, but the Xbox lounge in Mumbai will be the one place where gamers can already walk in and get an early taste of nex gen gaming with the Xbox 360, in the comfort of a chic lounge setting” added Mohit Anand, Country Manager, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division, India.
